ABOUT WILLIAM MALLORY KENT

William Mallory Kent

William Mallory Kent has practiced criminal appellate law for over 35 years, and has appeared in federal appeals courts nationwide, including the United States Supreme Court where he won the precedent setting federal sentencing guidelines case, Stinson v. United States, 9-0 in 1992. This was the beginning of a storied appellate career.  In 2021 he won an en banc reversal for former United States Congresswoman Corrine Brown setting aside her trial conviction for fraud and tax evasion in a 7-4 decision.  He has had oral arguments in courts from San Francisco to Chicago to Washington, D.C.  William Kent graduated first in his class from a private boarding school, the Bolles School, then graduated with honors from Harvard College and again with honors from the University of Florida College of Law.  Since 2012 he has been designated as being in the top five percent of appellate lawyers by Thompson Reuters Super Lawyers..
